...Vittorio Gassman is fine support for Quinn. I always liked this long and entertaining film. Quinn does his best La Strada-like" slobbering brute. Richard Fleischer, the director, passed away this year. I think he was a nephew to Max Fleischer, the animator of the early Popeye cartoons. Heck of a film.
