To start with this is not date movie...
It concerns a dancer about to open a new production who disappears from rehearsal after going to buy his girlfriend some cigarettes.
He reappears nearly 2 weeks later secretive and disturbed.
Eventually we see what has happened to him.
I can't really say much without giving it all away, but do check the credits to see who is amongst the protagonists of his captivity.
Its stars Tom Long, Colin Friels and Greta Scacchi now far removed from her sex kitten days (Damn I had her phone number once and never used it) as a choreographer dying from cancer.
There is very graphic sexual activity in this film. It is very confronting.
Parts of the film are also heavy on the pretentious.
Other parts, in fact most parts, are beautifully shot and th score is tremendous.
Its probably not a great film, certainly not as great as it tries to be, but how many films are?
If you get a chance, then see it, but be prepared not to feel good when you come out.
