films I've walked out of: how long do you give them...

almost always it's one of the blockbusters, movies I know I won't like but can't help myself. I lasted nearly five minutes in Batman,(but had to go back to it to see Nickelson).

But my most memorable "walk-out" was Airplane! A film which got me on the opening scene: the take-off on Jaws, and then dropped me flat. I lasted about 20 minutes and then left.

Since then every time I see it it's funnier and funnier, especially the scenes in the tower, with Mike Nelson and the picture behind him on the wall. "I picked a hell of a week to quit sniffing glue."

And some of the scenes in the Panther series: the fake lighter: "You're out of FFFlaeuddd." and " I'm blotting you." Can anyone walk out of the room when these scenes are on? "Does your dog bite?"
