The Black Dahlia trys to do a Chinatown impression but fails miserably...

71.92.69.31

went to see this tonight...First off Josh Hartnett couldn' t act his way into a paper bag much less out of one...where exactly IS the talent that Hollywood is seeing?!?!? IMO the same could be said of the ever popular Scarlett J....other than her big tits (which don't impress me) she is a little lacking in the acting talent dept....Hillary Swank does what she can with what little there is to work with...and although Patricia Clarkson is a little over the top here it was effective. The 40's style in which it was filmed was true and the recreation of the era seemed appropriate for 40's L.A.....The cinematography by Vilmos Zsigmond was very attractive. Note to Brian D****...next time you shoot a film try letting an experienced writer adapt their novel for the screen...and for God's sake....HIRE SOME ACTORS!!!!
