Watched "Wages..." last night and was totally moved, shocked and entertained *again*.
A beautifully shot B&W film that brings me on the edge of seat, sometime not even breathing!

The acting is first-rate from the smallest role to the largest. A real masterpiece.
"Sorcerer" is now in my queue which I haven't seen - I can't imagine any remake capturing the magic "Wages .." does - But Friedkin is no slouch and he likes to venture into darkness.
