This is a romantic comedy about a young upscale black woman who inadvertently shares a blind date with a white landscape architect.
Circumstances bring them back together and they become attracted to one another as he works on her overgrown back yard. Against the wishes of family and friends she pursues the relationship, even when presented with a Qunicy Jones type black dude, the essense of what she "should" be looking for. Eminently predictable but charming, not the least because of its leads Sanaa Latham and Simon Baker. Alfrie Woodard plays the young woman's uptight mother. I liked this one.
