Starring Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr Woody Harrelson and Winona Ryder, I wasn't overly hpoeful but the trailers had looked cool, so...
Wow, its really pretty good and holds to the books main ideas from what I remember although its decades since I read it.
Even Reeves, of whom I am no fan, is very good in this. His downplayed undercover narc is a great contrast to the over the top pairing of Downey and Harrelson who is almost Woody from Cheers dropped through the cracks in society and gone bad!
The film is treated real life and looks kind of photoshopped and very cool.
Its confusing which its meant to be and you had better pay attention or you could get lost.
The themes of drugs, power, mind control and a rotting society seem ever more prescient. Its not a great film. Its a very good film of a very tricky book and its at least as good as anyone could expect and probably a whole lot better than thta.
No clues or I'll give it away to anyone who hasn't read it.
Go see it, its great for the paranoid conspiracy theorists and entertaining for the rest.
