Given the cast and Oscar, we expected a good film. Given the cast and the Oscar, this movie was really really bad. Dull. Plodding. Ridiculously implausible and contrived situations. And the "gritty" cinema bit is way overdone. I simply don't need to see Kate B using a bedpan, let alone getting all horny doing it. Who writes this sh*t?
The whole PC agenda is about as subtle as a pack of bikers in your rear view mirror. Such American conceit...assuming a tourist shooting in North Africa is a terrorist attack! Or a Border Patrol agent getting suspicious when a lippy drunken Mexican with two little American kids in the back seat shows up at the crossing. Those damn Gringos...so arrogant!
How such crap attract stars and $$...let alone an Oscar is a mystery. And they wonder why grown-ups don't go to the movies any more?
