I can't believe Oliver Stone is a Zen Buddhist. I have never known a Buddhist (or anyone, really) so fixated on maintaining a state of suffering through reliving horrors again and again.In the famous JFK episode of the British scifi sitcom "Red Dwarf", President Kennedy's assassination is accidently prevented when the time-traveling protagonists land on top of Oswald aiming his rifle. Kennedy is later disgraced in a sex scandal, removed from office and imprisoned, leading to a religiously fanatic, totalitarian state of government. He is persuaded to travel back in time with our "heroes" and is forced to shoot himself from the grassy knoll (he "wings" Connelly)! In ending, one of them says: "This is going to drive Oliver Stone crazy!"
