Not a Costner fan but that's okay as this film flirts with near ensemble casting and action. AAMOF, this is the most I've liked Costner in a role. If anyone has seen the trailers leading up to this release you may consider yourself MISDIRECTED as to the true nature of the film.

SPOILAGE . . . .

Right off the bat the black screen opens with William Hurt's narration. We find he is Costner's alter-ego and that Costner is a very proficient and highly addicted serial killer living a remarkably normal and productive life. The cast members come aboard as the story unfolds and we begin a series of loosely connected sub-plots that scoot the action right along. There are quite a few "tangents" which are best left to you actually seeing the film than me struggling through the descriptions.

This is a great "popcorn" movie even if you don't like Costner. You will especially enjoy Hurt's maniacal alter-ego goading Costner into trouble every chance he gets.
