Spendid photos, a perfect lightning, a film as sober as Lou Reed, I mean in his minimalsitic songs, wonderful actors.
Pictures are frozen in time in a more calm Saigon than can be in real.
A bit difficult to follow the plot, as more a day dreaming, where nothing much happen.
Your mind, at least mind tend to unfocuse, and let the flow of the story gently follow the spring of the source.
But it becomes rapidly very rather boring, the gentle figures are lacking any deepth, and you have a hard time to feel some emotions at all.
You see and are enchanted, but it is no Begman nor Tartokvsky.
Maybe it is also a society problem Vietnam as Asian countries are very attentive to this "losing face " dilemma, touch us maybe less that it should.

A wonderfully set present in a beautiful box with many somptuous ribbons, but when you open it, there is only a charcoal brick in it.
I am frustrated.
