THis is a great film if it's a rainy day and you have kids of maybe 8 years old.
Ours were a little young at 4 and 6 but the 6 year old still really loved it.
It is about a boy who finds an egg that hatches and out comes a little... Loch Ness Monster... thing!
Set during the second world war there is a strong war=madness undercurrent and also a class warfare subplot which suits the British (Scottish) setting.
Acting is good and the Water Horse looks pretty good.
The end plot of the inevitable collapse of trying to control nature will play well with kids (And a lot of adults).
Scotland looks great too.
No massive surprises but a well made and enjoyable film. Not too long for young attention deficit kids either at around 95 minutes.
