Be Kind Rewind has a preposterous plot in the same sense that Lars and the Real Girl had a preposterous plot, but the audience in this movie also gets drawn into this one in much the same way.

A short synopsis is that Jack black gets magnetized and erases all the viodeos in a video store located in a declining area. In order to not get discovered, Jack and another store worker go out and try to remake home-grown versions ofthe erased tapes. They call this "Sweding" a movie, which they then rent to customers. It turns out that the customers like the Sweded versions better than the originals, but then the law comes down on them for copyright violations.

The audience roared esp as they saw how the "2001" remake was made. And of course, in the ultimate movie pun, Jack Black gets to star in the home grown "King Kong" Remake.

This movie is not quite the equal of Lars and the Real Girl, Little Miss Sunshine or even Running with Scissors, but I did have fun and the audience roared with laughter throughout the movie. People who liked the aforementioned movies should get a chuckle or two out of this one as well.
