RE: Horton hears a Who -- thumbnail review, no spoilers

I think when you have a book which is written expressly to make the most of the sound and rhythm of words and hence very loose, often nonsensical plots you are bound to have a problem translating it to screen.

I thought it was entertaining enough in parts (the mayor's numb arm!) but generally none of these books, fantastic though they are have translated well to film.

Great books which should remain just that.
