Audrey Tautou stars as the fashion industry icon althought he film only covers the time up to her getting successful (AVANT!!!).
From a singer and near whore the film tracks both her rise and the transformation of fashion from the 19th century to the twentieth.
IT is a slow moving film that seems longer than it is, but at the same time I did enjoy it.
Moody would sum up many scenes where little or nothing happens but Tautou stares at things, smokes (incessantly) or just thinks.
In some ways I thought there was an even longer film trying to get out that should be edited into a mini-series.
Twice in a day I saw films I thought would be good for wet Sunday afternoons at home, but maybe thta was just the weather we are having this winter!
So see it if anything about it appeals, but if you are one of those who find Tautou annoying, this film is your worst nightmare!
