EWS (unrated): Dirty, old Kubrick . . .

This is the tenth anniversary of Kubrick's last mystery bomb. I got this just recently and have some random thoughts:

The unrated version shows a heck of a lot more nekkid Kidman. Kubrick's sole purpose of this film was to see her naked.

As part of the deal, Stan had to take Tom in order to eyeball Nicole.

Sky Dumont, the Hungarian Masher, played the best role and gave the best performance.

The two models that grabbed Tom at the party grab him again at the orgy. You can tell by their hair and voices.

Todd Field's character was a greater doof than I thought. He would never tell Tom about the gig if he had an IQ greater than 80.

Sydney Pollack gave the second best performance of the movie.

Kidman can't fake being stoned worth a cow patty.

Cruise was totally out of his league in this one.

Lelei Sobieski shows early in her career that she absolutely has no talent or beauty.

The orgy looses a lot titillation in ten years time. You won't even noticed the difference between the R and unrated today.

Marie Richardson tied Pollack for 2nd best with her grieving, love struck character who throws herself at Tom.

I would hate to be Stan explaining to St. Peter at the Gate why this was my last work.
