verging at times on preposterous. Ben Affleck has turned into a quite skilled action director and those scenes have power. Characterization is somewhat absurd however, the romance being the most absurd. The whole "last crime before I go straight" has been done to death. And you know, on the most basic level, Ben A. has carefully manicured stubble in every scene and he looks exactly like what he is, an A list Hollywood actor, not like any kind of tough hoodlum. I didn't buy much of this. I'm thinking no Oscars for anyone.
