"The Killer Inside Me": Casey is the real Affleck . . . . .

Casey is a deputy sheriff asked to size-up a "new girl" in town who is distracting the local big shot's (Ned Beatty) son. When he goes out to her house Alba shows him some some rough behavior which ignites behaviors from Afflecks youth. This leads to he and Alba starting a very rambunctious affair with lots of rough play. (Note Alba's bruises above.) Beatty still wants the girl out of town and away from his son so a plan is devised to pay off Alba to the tune of $10K in 1954 greenbacks. But Affleck has a plan of his own that has brutal consequences leading to repercussions effecting his girlfriend, Kate Hudson, and three other towns members.

This is one hell of a modern day noir based on the early 50's novel of the same title. The script is cool, gritty and the characters rich in depth. Affleck shows, once again, he might be the critical actor of the family with his croaky voice and cold as steel eyes. The twists and turns in this make this a compelling film not to be missed by mystery and noir fans alike.
