Nicely shot and acted... (spoilers)

...but silly and somewhat incoherent. I liked the character actors cast in the little vignettes that bridged the driving footage. The scene where the bad guys come in and trash the radio station (did they kill John Amos-the engineer?) reminded me of the kind of evil done in Clint Eastwood movies, only not so well though out. And no payback either. The whole plot was glued together with disappearing ink. I was entertained. John Alonzo's cinematography was the real star; remember him from "Chinatown," and "Scarface" and "Tom Horn?" It reminded me of Haskell Wexler's later work, "Bound for Glory." It was wall to wall music too, which usually makes me sick. But I did like seeing Delaney and Bonnie in the revival scene, and hearing "Mississippi Queen" in the hippie trailer scene was neat. I just wish they'd used an A script for this B movie.
