Radcliffe has dropped out of Hogwarts Medical School and is living in an attic in Toronto. He had his heart broken by his fellow med school fiance when he caught her in the arms of another. Retreating from life, he works as a technical writer for a manual publisher. His former roommate drags him to a party one night where he bumps into Chanty (Kazan) where a semi-intelligent pity conversation develops. She is engaged and Wallace decides to go head-over-heels.

This is a cute retelling of the classic friend-into-lover scenario that has a few new angles to the story. Wallace and Chanty are equally plain looking so it seems they would be an instant match if it weren't for the dashing fiance madly in love with Chanty.

This is not quite a family movie but you can chaperon your teens without hesitation. Acting okay, Zoe Kazan (check her last name) seems to be having a comeuppance these days. Humor, humor, a bit of drama.
