RE: more like 2-1/2 D

This viewer only watches such gimmickery in the multi-plex.
Avatar being the first. Coming out of the theater I felt like I had been witness to a significant technical event. However, I don't think I've quite seen the equal of that demonstration since.

Recently I saw Guardians of the Galaxy in 3d at the Multi-plex. Entertaining to engage the senses this way.

I don't think I'll bother with a so-called 3d TV. In its place see above image. I'll wait for "holographic TV". If/when that comes about, it should be true 3D.
