I have never seen a better characterization of a typical big-league democrat than Cam Brady (Ferrell). He said absolutely nothing during his campaign speeches and the poor people of North Carolina got nailed with eating it up. Not only was Brady empty headed but he couldn't keep it zipped up, either.
OTOH, Galifianakis was the bumbling pantywaist turned vicious pro all under the direction of Dermott Mulroney who conspicuously looked like Satan. The Motch brothers, who bankrolled Huggins, were a direct ripoff of the "Trading Places" duo in which Ackroyd was a dupe for them.
This was enjoyable and had so much "bad stuff" in it that no political movement remained unscathed. Although I think the repubs fared better at final tally.
Sophomoric belly laughs...good medicine.
