What bothered me about "Into Darkness" was that they killed off Christopher Pike

In the TV Series, he was alive, but confined ( or built into ) to that Chair for survival, and taken to the Planet of Illusions to live out his life with the Woman who was also disfigured.
I didn't like it that they changed that, if it's supposed to be a Pre-quel to the TV series.
