Violent murder doesn't "fit" into my world, and I find the issue important enough to resist mass shooting as normal, things that just happen without any possible remedy .
That is pretty much my only objection to your statements. The original poster might have not gotten the original impact of the movie when he changed formats. I remember the movie was very dark, intentionally made that way, and stuff shot for home viewing would use different lighting to create the same needed effects, because dark is tough at home. I don't remember much else about the movie. besides the joker, (ledger) running around the place.
