I bought a Loki Max to replace the Lokius in the main system to take advantage of remote control frequency tuning and the presets but use the Lokius in the in-fill speaker system. I use a Loki Mini with our more modest living room stereo.
I would miss having the Loki Max in the chain; it makes a noticeable difference in the enjoyment of the recording with many releases, whether hi-res, CD, or vinyl and the presets have been dialed in to reflect those differences. I'm not talking about adjusting for each song but rather to adjust for the tonal balance that was engineered into certain releases. Some albums are a bit on the bright side while others are somewhat dark. I also find that I can highlight the frequencies in the vocal range to improve intelligibility.
