Want to buy plasma tv - where do I start?

A buddy of mine is thinking about buying a plasma screen tv and wants to know where he should start researching this stuff.

Does anyone have any advice for good review/info sites?

How about recommendations for good models under $10K?

Any other tips or advice on how he should research and buy this thing?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
