Wide Screen TV - Convergence

Hi,
I recently purchased a Mitsubishi WS-65908 HD ready wide screen TV. I hooked up the TV to the cable box. The "Reset Factory Default" was somehow not so good. I've tried to adjust the 64 individual points a couple of time, the picture looked a little bit better. But the picture still looks distorted. The HBO and Showtime channels looked better than the news channel.
1. Is there a better way to adjust/align the red, blue and green colors to appear white? Some points I still couln't make them to appear white.
2. Do I need to have an expert to come to my house and adjust the colors?
3. If I install DirectTV, will the picture looks better than if I use the cable box?
