I used a 60wpc hk receiver to run a pair of aerius a while back. It sounded very good until I bought a decent 80wpc NAD amp, then that sounded like thin compared to the classe I use now. Upgrading the HK as a preamp and getting a classe was another big step. So simply put, its not gonna cut it long term. ML speakers are difficult to drive as they dip to 1.8 ohms. Go seperates or so with maggies, they are easier to drive.
