Re: 2.0 dolby digital or pcm?

Not too many DVDs have true PCM tracks, unfortunately. What the DVD player will do if you set it to PCM and play a disc that has only Dolby Digital is to convert the DD to PCM using some kind of conversion process. In my experience, the sound is noticeably inferior to using a Dolby Digital receiver or preamp/processor.
