The problems I have seen with these kind of systems are generally more related to pixelation issues than outright fuzziness. I highly doubt an expensive cable will make a noticeable difference--perhaps it is the receiver that is at fault. Keep in mind, however, that the picture from the Directv feed will likely never come anywhere near the quality of a DVD input, particularly on a high resolution display such as yours. Have you considered an HD satellite system?
