I have been look for a good DVD player for some time. I thought that the Panasonic RP
56 looked promising. It has now been replaced by the RP-62, but I have yet to see one.
When I was looking through the Video Asylum I came across your post from March 25.

“RP56's are still selling at or near full list in the Toronto area, which is $250. RP62 and
RP82 are the same price or cheaper. I needed another DVDP, and NOBODY around here
was willing to sell me an RP56 for a reasonable price, yet I managed to negotiate $160 for
an RP82 with little effort. Weird...”

That was a great price. Where did you find it?
