Can normal VHSs be watched on Plasmas?

Hi,
As you know normal videos (with Composite Output) will look very bad on Plasmas. I was wondering if Super VHSs (with S-Video Output) looks a bit watchable? Or if going through a receiver like Onkyo 696 (Composite to S-Video switching), makes watching the older technology on plasmas possible?
