HDTV/FM antenna suggestions?

Looking for a HDTV/FM antenna with the following issues:

- would like to mount inside attic instead of on roof. Is there a problem with a static installation [ie no rotor]? My issues with rooftop installations are, they look horrible and could attract lightning.

- Would it help to have more than one antenna in the attic and merge the signals into one for stronger reception?

- specific brands/models would really help.
