Hi John - I'm not sure why you would want to split an s-video signal but I wouldn't recommend it, s-video is an extremely fragile signal and very sensitive to jitter and internal cable reflections.

I've tried several s-video cables in the past few months and the Nordost Optix is the best by far. I prefer the half meter length but the one meter also works well. If you must run more than one meter I recommend the Camelot powered version which can drive up to six meters without significant signal loss.

My previous benchmarks in s-video cables was the Monster M-1000v and M-1000HDVS (the model with digital artifact reduction) and the Nordost cable beats them handily.
