Ground Breaker and digital cable.

My brother has got the classic hum in his stereo. I told him about the Ground Breaker that goes inline w/ the incoming cable and the cable box. I was just wondering, he's got one of those digital cable boxes. So does having digital nix the idea that his hum is coming from the cable? Will the G.B. work in this situation?
