So, do plasma hdtvs, as per speakers, amps etc., need a couple of weeks to settle down? I just got a Sony BU2 unit. Out of the box, with my old cables, it looked like crap. Then I added Silver Serpent S-video and component cables. Much better, though I'd hoped for more. Most of the pay per view satellite channels were quite nice, but HBO and such were barely watchable most the of time.
So its been about two weeks now, and I'm noticing that more and more channels appear to be OK or better. Richer colors, greater detail and crispness to the picture. Subjectively, the improvement seems much akin to what I experienced when I added the new improved cabling. Actually, its plumb gorgeous most of the time.
Any thoughts?
