Japanimation and 3:2 pulldown

Quick question, I know that the 3:2 pulldown restore the original 24fps of a movie which is the speed a movie is filmed. But what about Animations? I know that Disney movies are "filmed" at 24fps but I was wondering about Japanimation? Is it the same or is it another strandard?
On the Panasonic RP-82 I have 3 settings: 24p for film based recording and 30p and 60i for video based recording. Which is the best for those kind of movies?
