Re: PICTURE GONE FROM SONY KV-32XBR55

Hi there

This sounds like a common problem with the early XBRs. One or two voltage regulators are prone to failure (twice with my XBR). Some people have reported that solder joints (at the regulator) go bad. There have been discussions on this in rec.video (try a search at dejanews.com) back in the mid '90s. You may need to get a service manual from Sony (about $20); but the set may be fixable for less than $25 in parts.
