What I've read on the High Rez Forum is that:
CD. Good, but some cheaper units offer better quality.
DVD. Very good, but cheaper units offer similar quality.
DVD-Audio. Very good.
SACD. So-so performance. Cheaper SACD players offer better quality.
However, there is no one unit as good for this price that offers both DVD-A and SACD options.
The digital link is an added bonus if you have a Pioneer receiver with the same connection.
