"Flashing" Problem with DVD's - Need Help!

I own a Toshiba SD 2800, which is connected to a Marantz 6200 via Monster s-video and Monster Digital coax. Also running the same Monster s-vid to the tv.
Whenever there is some very fast action in a movie, the screen seems to "flash" white. Sometimes it looks like a horizontal line just flies up...soemtimes it flies down. No one notices this but me (hey, it's my system i suppose). One of the smaller prongs on one of the s-vid cords DID break off on me but i'm still using it. Could this be the problem? If not, what could be?
This only happens if there's some quick action or something flies across the scene during a movie. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
