question about Pioneer DV-45a, and about DVD in general

Hi all,
I have a 2-channel audio system with a DAC. I would now like to watch movies, play MP3s, etc. I want all audio signals to go through my existing 2-channel DAC. Only interested in 2-channel audio.
I'm looking for a DVD player with digital outputs that:

Can function as a CD transport feeding my DAC. Transport quality is very important.
Has a "2-channel" mode for DVD playback that sends digital audio to my DAC, like a CD.
Can do the same with all the other formats (MP3, DVD-Audio, SACD, etc.). A loss of resolution is okay here, I just want to hear it.
Is the Pioneer DV-45a such a player? If not, can you recommend one that I should look at?
I'm guessing that my third requirement is pie-in-the-sky, given what little I've read about DVD-Audio/SACD piracy protection.
