denon 1803 vs 3803 for paradigm monitor 7

Dear All,
My wife and I purchased a pair of paradigm monitor 7 last year which we really enjoy, but are current aging receiver does not due them justice.
We are looking at replacing the receiver which will be used for both stereo listening and HT. The Denon 1803 has a very attractive price vs feature placement. The 3803 has received very good reveiews as well.
The question is whether the increase in amps or quality would lean you towards the 3803over the 1803. The way electronics outdate themselves (baring buying a good amp, but i am not sure that I want to get involved with components), it seems desirable to not over invest.
Did I miss something else i should seriously consider. We are going to listen to them over the next week on a pair of monitors at the dealer.
Any comments welcome.
