Re: Compatibility Issues for 2 channel DVD System

If you use the DD receiver's speaker setup menu to define the fact that you only have 2 speakers connected, i.e. Fronts=Yes, Center=No, Surrounds=NO, and sub=No, then the DD receiver (Dolby Digital 5.1) will downmix everything to 2 channels for your L&R speakers automatically.

This presupposes you connect the DVD player to the DD/DTS receiver with a digital connection, either a 75 Ohm RCA cable or a toslink optical cable.
