42 & 50 inch plasma screen dimensions?

What are the approximate widths of HDTV 42-inch and 50-inch plasma screens, not counting speakers as some of them have optional clip on side speakers. Just trying to estimate the amount of horizontal wall space I might need.

Also, what would be the optimum viewing distance for each?
