Replay TV, TIVO, or...?

Hi;
Here's my situation, I recently bought a DVD recorder to transfer most of my 400+ VHS collection to DVD. The prerecorded tapes are no problem, but I have a whole bunch of home recorded tapes with 2 or 3 movies on them. I would like to be able to record these to a hard drive (not computer), edit them, and record what I want to DVD. Is this possible with Replay TV, TIVO, or...?
