The Pioneer Elites are wonderful displays. Best internal line doublers and excellent PQ. For many people, the added quality might not be worth it. For others, it is. But the convergence issues are common to ALL rear projectors.*All* RPs need to be reconverged every few months. Period. It's the nature of the beast. It's usually a matter of minor adjustment. It drives some people crazy, but RPs are the best bang for buck in large screen viewing, and the Pioneer Elites are arguably the best RPs on the market. I have a friend with the big Elite, ands it's gorgeous.
If you buy one of these beasts, Pioneer or another brand, consider having it professionally calibrated. If you plan to watch HD and DVDs on the set, it will take it to a whole new level.
