I might consider the NAD 751 receiver and spendor speaker combo that subaruguru recommends on audiogon. I'd probably combine that with one of the titanic sub kits from part express.
I think you can get the receiver for like $500 or so off of audiogon. the spendors ran him like $2050, if I remember right. Can't think if the model #s. It's supposed to be a pretty musical combo for HT.
