Make sure the HK can actually accept 4 Ohm speakers. Some HT receivers just can't handle the below 4 Ohm dips and resulting current draw that comes with them. Remember, the Ohm rating is more or less an average -- nominal -- rating, so there are peaks and valleys in the actual impedance in relation to frequency.

I wired up a Technics surround receiver for my wife a few years ago. The receiver was rated to use 6 - 8 Ohm speakers. I wired the 2-driver sub in parallel (8 Ohms each, parallel showed the receiver 4 Ohms). Sure enough, on loud passages and deep bass effects, the receiver shut down. Reconnected the sub drivers in series (for a 16 Ohm load) and the receiver hasn't shut down once since then. Matter of fact, I was able to actually increase the sub's level for even more "wall shakin'".
