What do you mean by 'next gen' pre-pro for supporting the full capabilities of the upcoming Denon 5900?

I'm currently running the Denon 3803 with the Denon DVD-1600. I'm very pleased with this setup but ultimately I'm hoping to replace my dedicated (somewhat high-end) CD player with DVD player that can match it or do better at CD audio playback - something I haven't found yet in a DVD player.
