ceiling placement for LCD monitors?

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

I know that you cannot put a plasma flat on a ceiling - it will self destruct. As the lcd monitors approach 36" and more, does anyone know if those monitors will suffer the same problems as plasmas?
